TDL Fund is a fundraising body that aims to:
1) Create partnerships in industries and organisations cross-culturally.
2) Provide scholarship funds to support exceptionally talented and revolutionary South Asian creators to start up their businesses, bring a product to market, provide further education or support their journey outside of their home countries to establish themselves in global markets.
TDL Fund aims to create a positive ecosystem that creates opportunities, supports, makes visible, inspires and redefines cultural identity and possibility.
The TDL Fund will reshape how the worldwide media portrays and represents the Indian diaspora. Under the leadership and management of Rohit Makol, one of the founders of TDL, the fund will invest in, support, and give Indian creatives across a spectrum of industries the platform and resources needed to develop and bring attention to the vast amounts of undeniable Indian talent, creators, entrepreneurs and beauty that are often left behind because of uninformed and often racially biased stereotypes.
The TDL Fund is deeply ambitious and has a strong mission to reinvent how South Asians are portrayed globally. We are supported by our partners and investors in this mission, which allows us to deploy capital across a wider spectrum than most funds, including ad hoc projects that can provide meaningful returns and significant impact.
We are launching our first fund, the TDL Fund, in 2023 and will aim to deploy a minimum of £50M across 50+ companies and projects, with a five-year fund term of 5 years.
